Ukraine again received no advance warning from its partners before Russia’s overnight ballistic missile strike on Kyiv, sources told Radio Svoboda despite Zelensky saying the U.S. had resumed sharing missile launch intelligence.

The attack killed a 21-year-old woman and injured three people, two of whom were hospitalized, while three more were treated at the scene after debris hit a residential building.

Kyiv’s metro said an above-ground station, tracks and cables were damaged, forcing the closure of Chernihivska and Lisova stations.

It is the second time this month that Kyiv was hit without warning, after partners failed to alert Ukraine to the first wave of a ballistic strike on October 12.

‼️BREAKING || FIVE BALLISTIC MISSILES HIT KYIV THERMAL POWER PLANT 4 — RUSSIAN STRIKES TARGET UKRAINE CRITICAL ENERGY

KYIV, Ukraine — Five Russian ballistic missiles reportedly struck the Darnitsa Thermal Power Plant No. 4 in Kyiv, in a major overnight attack targeting critical energy infrastructure in the Ukrainian capital.

Dramatic night-time footage shows a panoramic view of Kyiv illuminated by streetlights and the headlights of traffic as the defenceless city being attacked by Russian misdiles.

The camera remains trained on the urban skyline, capturing five individual missile impacts without any interception attempts by Ukaraine.

The reported targeting of the thermal power plant raises fresh concerns over the resilience of Kyiv’s energy infrastructure, with damage to major heating and electricity facilities potentially carrying serious consequences for the city’s residents as colder weather approaches.

The number of missiles, the extent of damage to the facility and the impact on heat and electricity supplies require further confirmation from independent sources and Ukrainian authorities.
